Who doesn’t love a nice warm gooey s’more? S’mores are a great camping classic that almost everyone enjoys. They are rightly named for the fact that after you have one you will want some more (s’more).

The classic s’more recipe of campfire roasted marshmallow sandwiched in between graham cracker with chocolate is amazing. Since it’s invention many people have taken s’mores to a new level by adding their own flare. Here are some recipes to take this campfire classic to the next level:

Two Step Quick and Easy S’mores

Eliminate a step by grabbing fudge covered graham cookies instead of crackers and chocolate bars.

Trail Mix S’mores

Instead of the traditional chocolate candy bar piece on your graham, roast your marshmallow and sprinkle some trail mix containing chocolate pieces, fruits, and nuts right after you have placed the warm gooey mallow on the cracker.

Striped S’mores

Instead of using a graham cracker and chocolate piece get a package of fudge striped cookies and sandwich a mallow between those.

Strawberry Shortcake S’mores

Grab some vanilla wafers and get a pack of fresh strawberries. Slice the strawberries and sandwich your mallow between to vanilla wafers with a slice of strawberry instead of chocolate. (It is also still good with some chocolate added in if you just can’t have a s’more without chocolate.)

Reese’s S’mores

Replace the chocolate with a regular size Reese’s peanut butter cup, or your favorite brand peanut butter cup.

Bacon or Jerky S’mores

What sweet treat isn’t made better with bacon? You may even love these more than maple bars. Use saltine crackers and crispy cooked bacon along with chocolate and marshmallows to make this delicious treat. You can also use jerky in the place of bacon.

Chocolate Chip S’mores

Instead of graham crackers use chocolate chip cookies to create a marshmallow cookie sandwich.

Potato Chip S’mores

Get a bag of your favorite classic potato chips. Tip: the ridged ones hold up just a bit better. Use them in place of crackers. You can also use mini chocolate chips to help keep the chips from breaking easily with the first bite.

Mint S’mores

Grab some chocolate mint cookies like grasshoppers, or in Girl Scout cookie season Thin Mints. Use the cookies instead of grahams and chocolate.

Super Sweet S’mores Blanc

Use vanilla wafers and your favorite white chocolate to make an extra smooth, extra sweet treat. Great for dessert lovers. Put some more interest in it with a piece of cookies and cream bar.

PB and J S’mores

Grab your two graham cracker pieces and spread peanut butter on one and jelly on the other, stick your roasted marshmallow in the center and you’ve got a two classic mash up bringing you back to your child hood school lunch days.

Pretzel S’mores

Use waffle/ square shaped pretzels and small marshmallows and dip in chocolate for a sweet and salty snack.
