How do you get first chair on Stevens Pass? Get there first! The best way to get first chair is to change your lodging at Stevens Pass. Don’t rent a hotel, and then drive to the slopes each day. Stay in an RV with a Ski Package from NW Adventure Rentals, and you’ll sleep longer, drive less, and ski more. Wake up closer to the lifts, and come back between runs to a warm, luxury RV, with all the amenities. This is your best bet to make the first tracks of the day in the new snow!

Probably the most frequented ski resort by Western Washington locals, especially those living north of Seattle, Stevens Pass is located at the summit of Highway 2. Stevens Pass offers a large variety of terrain with runs for the smallest or most timid of beginners to the most advanced and avid of skiers and snowboarders.

Why Stevens Pass?

Location! Location! Location! Stevens Pass is just a short drive from Seattle, about 90 minutes out of the city and your are there. Because Stevens is at the crest of the Cascade Mountain Range the conditions are cooler and drier than other ski and snowboarding areas. The amazing location and better conditions create what Stevens is known for: light, high quality snow. Even on the busiest of days an expert skier can ride up the famed and steep 7th Heaven lift and find powder stashes in less traveled areas. Make friends with the regulars to help find these hidden gems.

RV Camping at Stevens Pass

There is nothing like “First Chair” and staying in an RV gives you the best chance at claiming this position. Lodging at Stevens Pass in an RV gives you a warm, dry place to warm up between runs, and to relax in at the end of the day. You’ll have your own fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and an entertainment center, all right there at the bottom of the slopes! Hotels and cabins are fine but you won’t experience the thrill of fresh powder and those early morning runs, unless you wake up in an RV with a Ski Package from NW Adventure Rentals.

If you are looking to RV at Stevens Pass you will want to hop on to their RV Lot Online Reservation System. This is brand new this season, RVers are able to reserve one of the 27 40- foot spaces or one of the 33 30-foot spaces. There is no longer an RV overflow lot. Due to the popularity of Stevens Pass, it is recommended not to bring an RV to the pass without a reservation. Some spots offer 30 amp hookups. Pets are allowed and must be leashed outside of the RV at all times and barking must be kept to a minimum.

Getting to the lot: Coming from the west side traveling east, you will find the RV lot (lot F) past the base area lodges on the right side of Highway 2. The main entrance is lot B turn in there and find the road in the back of the lot going past lot E and follow it into lot F on the left. (The Pacific Crest Lodge is across the entrance to lot F on the left.)
